Kongkrapan Intarajang, Ph.D.
Group Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Kongkrapan has more than 15 years of experience in the global petrochemical and chemical arenas.  His areas of expertise include overseeing corporate strategy, business development, major project development, international M&A, R&D, and corporate finance & investor relations divisions.

 

He is currently the Group CEO, a member of the Board of Directors, Executive Committee and Risk and Audit Committee of Emery Oleochemicals Group; one of the world's leading and largest natural-based chemical companies with operations in Asia, Europe, and Americas.  He has been working with Thailand’s PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited throughout his career, holding various senior positions including Senior Vice President overseeing Performance Products Business Unit and Corporate Business Development, Chairman of the board for a number of PTT Global Chemical's subsidiaries (TOC Glycol and Thai Ethanolamines), President and board member of Thai Oleochemicals, and board member of PTT Chemical International Pte Ltd.

 

Dr. Kongkrapan has a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston, Texas.

 

 

Ramesh Kana
Senior Vice President and 
Chief Financial Officer

Ramesh Kana, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, brings 25 years of diverse experience to Emery Oleochemicals. His background encompasses Accounting, Strategy and Investment Banking; gained across a diverse range of industries and geographies. Additional to his responsibilities as the Chief Financial Officer, Ramesh also oversees Group Legal, Group Information Technology, Group Contracting & Procurement and Enterprise Risk Management.

 

Prior to joining Emery Oleochemicals, Ramesh spent most of his career working with the Royal Dutch Shell Group. Commencing his career in Australia, he moved to Beijing where he was responsible for Downstream Finance and Portfolio Strategy for North East Asia; and later moving to London where he managed Mergers, Acquisitions & Divestments for Shell’s Liquefied Petroleum Gas business globally. He managed various other finance functions in Latin America and Malaysia, before leaving to became Director - Investment Banking with a boutique Sydney based firm. 

 

Ramesh holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and Masters of Enterprise & Innovation, both from Swinburne University and is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA Australia). He is also an inaugural scholar of the Sir “Weary” Dunlop Asia Leadership program in Australia and has served on the Council of Swinburne University in Melbourne.
 

 

Azuddin Rahman


Senior Vice President,

Chief Business and

Strategy Officer 

Azuddin has been involved in the chemicals industry in the last 25 years and currently holds the role of Senior Vice President, Chief Business and Strategy Officer at Emery Oleochemicals.

 

He is chiefly responsible for providing leadership to develop, drive and implement growth plans through global expansion and strategic partnerships with customers and partners; and additionally ensures the integrated execution of various business functions’ strategic and development goals. Azuddin also oversees the rollout of the company's Research and Innovation strategy by prospecting new markets, technology and venture opportunities that is aligned with Emery Oleochemicals' corporate objectives.

 

Azuddin was previously involved in the global specialties business at Emery Oleochemicals. Prior to joining the company, Azuddin was the President Director of PT Cognis Indonesia and Regional Sales Director for Care Chemicals, Asia Pacific. He garnered international work experience early on in his career, holding various senior positions based in Tokyo and Bangkok, and has also held roles in Henkel Asia Pacific and Colgate Malaysia.

 

He is a graduate of Industrial Chemistry at the Mara University of Technology, Malaysia.

 

 

Jay Taylor

 

Vice President and Chief Manufacturing Officer

& Regional General Manager,

North America

Jay, who has over 24 years of manufacturing experience in the petrochemical and oleochemicals industry, is the company's Vice President and Chief Manufacturing Officer; and additionally holds the role as the Regional General Manager for North America.

 

In his current capacity, Jay provides global operational coordination and guidance in all relevant functions including safety, budgeting, environmental compliance and stewardship, personnel development and operational efficiencies. As the Head of Major Projects too, he oversees project development and management, systems adherence, governance controls and efficiencies. In providing Leadership and General Management duties for North America, he leads the operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and is a key point of contact for all internal and external parties related to Emery Oleochemicals’ local operations.

 

Jay's previous career experience before joining Emery Oleochemicals includes working at Huntsman Polymers Corporation in various management roles and has had the opportunity of managing four of their operating units.

 

Jay has a Bachelor of Science degree from Lubbock Christian University, Texas.
 

 

Derek Ng See Cheet

 

Vice President and 
Chief Performance Officer

Derek has been involved in the manufacturing industry and has garnered international trade experience in palm oil commodity, specialty fats, cocoa products and oleochemicals over the last 26 years. Today, his role is extended to include that of Vice President and Chief Performance Officer whilst still being responsible for the oleo basics business as the company's Global Director, Oleo Basics.

 

His area of responsibility extends to reporting on, evaluating and recommending changes to daily operations using a variety of metrics and performance quality improvement tools that assesses performance against the company's strategic goals and industry benchmarks.

 

Having had begun his career at Emery Oleochemicals in overseeing the company's global strategy; Derek's prior work experience includes being the Managing Director and Board Member for KLK Oleochemicals’ Strategic Business Unit. He has also held various technical and senior management positions covering the basic and specialties business, project and managing overall operations P&L.

 

Derek graduated from the University of Manitoba, Canada with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.

 

 

Hans Peter Eckardt

 

Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer & Regional General Manager, Emery Oleochemicals Europe

Hans Peter, with some 18 years of chemical industry experience in specialty and commodities, is the company's Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer. A member of the senior management team, he is also the Regional General Manager of Emery Oleochemicals Europe.

 

His current roles entails creating and overseeing Emery Oleochemicals’ integrated global sustainability strategy, assess and drive scaled investments, develop and maintain corporate sustainability initiatives and to track all global partnerships and key sustainability projects.

 

Hans Peter has progressed through various management roles within the company, mainly in finance and strategy. Prior to joining Emery Oleochemicals, he was the Head of Strategy and Controlling for the Chemicals Division at a leading German utilities and industrials group. His other work experience includes holding the position of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Degussa Food Ingredients Group.

 

He has a Degree in Management and Business Administration from University of Regensburg, Germany Head of Controlling and Strategy.

 

 

Shamsol Anuar

 

Vice President and

Chief Human Resource Officer

Shamsol brings to the company some 20 years of Human Resource and Communications experience and currently holds the role of Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer.

 

In this capacity, he provides overall leadership to the company's global Human Resources organization and programs; building and supporting a work force that meets Emery Oleochemicals' strategic business goals. His responsibilities also include leadership and organization development, performance management, training, compensation and benefits, staffing and employee relations.

 

His career in the company began when he was appointed as a Corporate Affairs Executive and has progressively grown in his roles to encompass a more global role in Human Resources.

 

Shamsol is a business graduate from Mara University of Technology, Malaysia.
